What is Adrenaline
According to the Hormone Health Network, adrenaline, also called epinephrine, is a hormone that is part of the body's fight-or-flight response. It causes the visceral effects that occur during stressful situation (even if they are positive situations), like increased heart rate and sweating, as well as the psychological effects. This can create an extra layer of work that your body has to do during an already physically challenging activity.
