Determine where you are physically and mentally so that we can adjust your fitness
program accordingly.

Progressive

Find your baseline and build on your current aerobic foundation.

Anaerobic

Regulate your heart rate during more high intense sections you may face on a mountain with HIIT/HIRT workouts.

Mental

Incorporate longer hikes/treadmill walks, workouts with your heavy pack, wearing your hiking boots, and becoming more comfortable with things you’ll experience out on the mountain.

Summit

Use your new baseline of endurance and strength to practice maintaining a zone 2/3 heartrate, so you can sustain your energy output on summit day.

Preparation
